Start me up
I'm a plain jane kind of girl with expression and creativity in my heart. On the edge of 50, there are some experiences calling to me so loud I just can't ignore them anymore. I want to climb mountains, write books, experience life and maybe inspire you to do the same. I believe in striving to be the best I can possibly be and always challenging myself. So, here I go...

When you are just starting out do you really need a goal! 20 pounds, 40 pounds 80 pounds! Does the amount you want to lose really matter? Do we need thoughts of: 10 days 10 pounds; bikini by summer; 50 pounds! The answer is no! The object should be GET HEALHY! Don't beat yourself up! If you lose something be happy! If you don't lose, ask yourself, how do I feel? I just started and I feel pretty good! I walked in the cold wind and rain, but, it doesn't matter, I feel good! I'm not doing a triathalon anytime soon and I'm ok with that. I did make a major decision today......no french fries for the next month! See not a big committment, just a little one.
New and Old
200 pounds! Wow that smarts! How did it happen? I don't remember eating that! Well now that I know, I have some changes to make! First no sugar in my coffee. Second, workout. I listen to all the girls at work talk about gyms and programs, I think I'm going to start with walking and biking. I walked for 55min. Saturday and biked 45 min. Sunday. I don't know how I missed Monday but, I'm ready today. Walking! Tomorrow I'm biking to work....17 min. there and 17 min. back! I'll keep you posted!

Clutter...
I just recently moved my office from one building to another building. In the process I have accidently mixed up my 2010 files with my 2011 files. Now at first thought I could only imagine curling up in a ball and crying for a week but, the new me; forward, challenging and free spirit, saw this as a start to something beneficial. This is my opportunity to be more organized, more stream lined and clutter free. I AM GIVING UP CLUTTER!!!! I throw nonsensical paper away immediately. I pay the bills then file them. My filing system is set up the way we do taxes so, there is no guessing to where it is or how it relates. How many pens do you need anyway!? It has now spun out to other parts of my life...I don't buy magazines, no need, I just read on line and the old ones I've donated. Collections are great but, I'm limiting mine to only 2, books and pictures. I also have limited the amount of books 20 and pictures I'm only keeping if I know who they are or where it is, otherwise what is the point? I'm looking into multi purpose items and just paring down! Once my desk was cleared I could think wider, more thoughts were flowing through my head. De-cluttering just feels great!

I can smell spring in the air. The daffodils, wet grass, and fresh. It's hard to tell you what fresh smells like but, I love that smell! It gets me going! I to get out there and play. When I smell spring I feel everything is alive. Get out there and do something terrific!
5 easy trails to conquer:
1. Deer Lake Trail. 3.4 miles, a little steep at times but, pretty easy.A
great little bridge to start and eventually a better view of the lake.
2. Derby Reach Regional Trail. 5 miles, fairly flat near Fort Langley. Lots
of birds.
3. Bunzen Lake. 6.5 miles, another flat trail and some bridges. Beautiful.
4. Campbell Valley Regional Park. Hike as long as you want, there are
several trails to choose from. In later spring you can smell fireweed and
blackberry blossoms. Flat and full of birds.

Adult tag
I have never in my life played Lazer Tag but, thats me holding a lazer gun! I had a blast! My technique was poor in the begining. After 3 rounds I was a regular Jane Bond! Some tips if you ever try lazer tag.
1- crouch, nobody looks down.
2- gun infront of chest easier to cover targets.
3- point gun forward, I held the gun backwards and didn't rack up points.
4- run, a moving target is harder to shoot!
5- if afterwards you feel like a martini, have one!
